“control, fear-mongering, and intimidation”

This is the text of the ad that ran in last Saturday's paper while the Remain Episcopal folks were organizing their new TEC diocese. The ad also listed the congregations of our diocese. The PeeBee was busy projecting on to our diocesan leadership (I guess that means... me?) "control, fear-mongering, and intimidation" from the pulpit of All Saints' Church while folks were reading this over their Saturday morning coffee. Just days before, four parishes had been informed that they were being given their property and 20+ members of the diocesan clergy were released without deposition in order to allow them to be in TEC. "Control, fear-mongering, and intimidation"... You be the judge.

Peace be with you
Brothers and Sisters in Christ

The formation of a new diocese in North Central Texas provides an organizational structure for those parishes and individuals who wish to remain in union with the General Convention of The Episcopal Church in the USA.

Though the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth has withdrawn from the General Convention because of doctrinal differences, we continue to seek unity among all Christians.

This diocese, organized in 1982, continues in the historic faith and order of the Church. Our Constitution and Canons continue to govern us, and our Corporation continues to hold all our property and assets. We remain a diocese in communion with the Archbishop of Canterbury. We uphold the authority of Scripture for the ordering of our lives, and we will continue steadfastly to proclaim the unchanging Gospel handed down from Jesus and the Apostles.

The necessity of this separation has been a source of sorrow. We pray God’s blessings upon our continued life of worship, service, and ministry in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
